Helpful Tips for Our Current Tenants

To ensure a smooth check-in for you and your roommates, all files must be complete.

1. Log in to Room Choice.

2. Complete all steps.

3. Security deposit must be paid.

4. Parking must be paid. Parking will be $375.00 to retain the space all year. After June 30, 2023, the price per space will increase to $400.00. The spaces are on a first-come-first-serve basis. No parking spaces will be issued without completion of the parking rider and payment in full.

5. Fall semester’s rent balance must be $0.00 or you must upload to Room Choice a copy of you FASA letter proving that you will be receiving financial aid.

6. IUP Off Campus Housing contacts each tenant by the email address provided in Room Choice. Please check the email address regularly.

All communications with tenants are done by text or email.

Don't worry - you don't have to bring anything. We provide the following for you:

Refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, kitchen table and chairs, large couch or love seat, chair, coffee table, TV and TV stand, full-size mattress and box springs, mattress cover, desk and chair, personal closet, shower curtain.

Blankets

Towels and washcloths

Hangers

Room decorations

Computer

Dishes, cookware, and utensils

Toilet paper

Light bulbs

First-aid kit

While decorating your room, you may use 3M Command™ hooks, white removable mounting adhesive such as Plasti-Tak©, and provided bulletin boards and tack strips.

Toilet paper, light bulbs, plunger & batteries are NOT provided for tenants.

State and community laws prohibit fireworks and other explosive/flammable materials. If you are caught in possession of these items, you will be reported to the police.

No smoking in any of the apartments.

Small appliances and space heaters are not allowed in the apartments.

Incense, candles, or any other type of open flame are not allowed.

Guns and other weapons, such as large knives, bows and arrows, swords (including decorative weapons), and paint guns are not allowed.  Any firearms, pellet guns, BB and paint guns, wrist rockets, slingshots, and other similar items, as well as ammunition, cannot be stored in the apartment. Violators will be referred to the police and your rental agreement will be jeopardized.

Pets (including fish) are not allowed.

Letters and packages are important! Make sure you provide others with your correct mailing address as shown below:
